Good times

So I feel like I have a bunch of exciting news! First of all, I told everyone that Roost and I were able to design the BYU intramural shirt. And then not even a week ago, we won our shirt!! We won it in 11v11 coed soccer. The team was so fun and we barely won the championship game in a shootout! It was on that really stormy day so luckily we got to move the game inside. Or I would have looked like a wet rat....

So fun to play with my two little sisters. I love them so much.

Another exciting thing is I got a part time gig designing wedding invites for www.utahannouncements.com. I emailed them months ago and never hear back and then a couple weeks ago out of the blue I was contacted by them. It's really fun! They use the same printing place I use so it makes it easy for me to make the invites the right format. Plus I am using Adobe Illustrator instead of Gimp and I have learned to screenshot on my Mac, which has been life changing... If anyone wants to use their site, its a pretty good deal, especially with free shipping and envelopes. Use my affiliate website (http://www.utahannouncements.com/?affiliate=ferret874) and I will get to help you and get more commission. Win-Win!!

Here are some other invites I have designed and other prints I have done. I have done things for baby showers and as decorations. It has been very rewarding. I can't wait to learn and design more!
I designed this for my nieces room.

So one of my bestest friends and a person I adore is a talented musician. I got to design her album cover. It was so fun to do. Her name is Amy Whitcomb. Find her on YouTUbe, iTunes. She's famous and amazing.

These were just for fun prints.

My brother is graduating and going to dental school! I did his announcement.

We love intramurals!

These were the two ideas we had for the new intramural shirts next year. One of them might have won and will be the intramural champion shirt for 2015!!
For those who know us we are kind of obsessed with intramurals so this was exciting :)
Here is my cousin's wedding invite! We were also able to do her hair and make up for her engagements and bridals. It has been so fun, we are so excited for her!

Busy

It has been awhile since I have posted! It has been busy with work, school, and I have actually been designing quite a bit. I still feel weird charging a lot for designing but I'm getting faster! I still mostly use GIMP but I have been using more Adobe services. I have been having fun with designing some wedding invites for some friends. Because I use gotprint.net and they are a good price for good quality, I end up fixing the invites and printing them to the right size. And I do get to make inserts which are shown above.
Here are some of my sibling's Christmas cards. Roost and I are able to babysit the top set of kids quite a bit since we live close. And we were able to babysit the six kids in the lower card this weekend. Two adults and seven kids. It was an .... adventure.... :) We love them so much!
I was helping someone from work make a queen of hearts. I found random pics on the internet and combined them to the top left picture. It was really fun! Can't wait to make more images on my own. I have been helping a musical friend of mine design some album and single covers so I hope to post them soon!

I'm going back to school!

So I have pretty cool news! I am going to get a graphic design degree! I am excited to get better and learn more about art and design. I will put things I have learned and done on the blog! Luckily it'll be online so I can still work full time at the hospital. In the meantime, here are some things we have been working on!
Our new fave cursive font is Lavanderia!

This is all my nieces and nephews!! My parents just celebrated their 40th anniversary so we put this image on a shirt for them!

Keeping it Simple

Roost and I are trying out some more traditional and simple designs. The beauty of wedding invites is there are so many possibilities and things to try! The first one is really simple and you could put any design on the back or even the picture!

We also designed some business cards for us! We are going to place at some businesses and for people to refer. We really love designing and love  to see people dreams come to realities!

Hey there Delilah

Roost and I have been a little busy. We have been able to do a wedding program, business card, and possible album art! We also played with another invite design.

This is where my sister works. It's a great place!

Glitter!

We are in love right now with ombre and glitter so here are some new invite designs.
